How to Make the Dip

Process shot - recipe in a bowl with a spoon

First thing first, you will need to soften your cream cheese. Lay the cream cheese out on the kitchen counter about an hour or so before you're ready to make the dip.

Once the cream cheese is softened, place it in a large mixing bowl. Using a stand mixer, slowly mix the powdered sugar in with the cream cheese. You can mix by hand if you would like, you'll just need a little bit of elbow grease. Once the powdered sugar and cream cheese are mixed, it will be easier to mix in the remaining ingredients.

Now add in the pumpkin pie mix, cool whip and the pumpkin pie spice if using. Mix well.

Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
