A few weeks back my uncle and aunt were in town for a visit.  We were having a conversation about my obsession with my home smelling good.  I expressed that outside of the fact that my husband prefers his food baked and not fried, I didn’t fry foods in the house because of how the smell lingered. For days!

I had made a fried chicken salad a few days before and still could smell the greasy smell of the fried chicken and it was DRIVING ME NUTS!

My aunt said, “girl, there is an easy fix for that.  In a pot on the stove, put you some cinnamon and water and just let it steep.”

While I was a little skeptical that that was all it took to remove the fried funk from the house, I was surprised when I tried it.

And I was HOOKED!

My kids and hubby come home and say, “what are you making it smells delicious in here”.

As with everything, I can never leave well enough alone.  So one day I had an extra piece of lemon and I looked at the pan with the cinnamon and water and I thought, why not?

If it was possible that it could get any more delicious smelling in my home, this was it!

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved my home to have a sweet inviting smell when myself of my visitors arrived.
