Ingredients
 

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using.
  • Enjoy the sauce as a marinade for chicken, beef, or vegetables or as a dipping sauce for fried foods.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness or tanginess of the sauce by adding more or less honey or lemon juice, respectively. You can also adjust the spiciness by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
