Sand and clean free of sawdust if wood is in rough shape.
Put painter’s tape around any areas that you do not want the stain to get onto.
Start with the railings if the area you are working with has them.
Go around the edge outside and inside of the railings, and the interior edges of the steps with a paint brush.
Use the deck stain tool or a paint pad to apply the product to the main and majority of the surface area.
Cover the area making sure not to put the sealant on too thick. Only one layer is needed.
Work in small areas as you move through working outside in like you would do when mopping and trying not to step on the wet floor.
Going through the boards is not necessary unless you have large space between on board with imperfections.
Once area is covered and complete, allow a full 24 hours to dry.
