delicious blond brownies made with valentine's M&M candies.

It’s the season of love yall.  And not like I need a reason to whip up something sweet.  Every occasion is a reason to make all the best and most yummy desserts. But if there is any reason needed, Valentine's Day is perfect right?

There are so many yummy desserts – Valentine’s Day cookies, and cakes, and even my Valentine’s Day S’more's – OMG, all the sweet s’more marshmallow-ey goodness you didn’t even know you wanted.

What Are Blondies?

In my opinion, Blondies are the light-skinned cousin of the brownie.  Sweet golden brownie goodness, that tastes similar to chocolate chip cookie dough.

What Is the Biggest Difference Between a Blondie and a Brownie?

Chocolate and Vanilla.

Blondies are vanilla-based, where brownies are deliciously chocolate-y.  But they are equally loved over this way.

When I was preggo with the boy, this ice cream spot down the street from my house had the best caramel topped blondie with the perfect scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream.

I would get this look in my eyes and babycakes would just grab his keys and head out.  Cause he knew what his girl wanted.

How to Make Blondie Brownies

Start out by preheating your oven to 375 degrees.

While the oven is warming up, line a 9×9 square pan with parchment paper, leaving extra to hang around the sides of the pan.  Set the pan aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter and mix in the brown sugar. Once combined, set that aside to allow it to cool for a few minutes.

As the brown sugar mixture cools, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.

Then whisk the eggs and vanilla into the cooled brown sugar mixture, and slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Add half of the chocolate-covered candies into the batter, making sure not to over mix. Pour the batter into the lined baking pan.

Once you have got all the batter out of the bowl, and licked it to make sure 🙂 , top it off in the pan with the leftover candies.

Place it in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the blondies.

You can allow them to cool (or not) and then cut into 9 even squares.

Seriously, you should at least let them cool a little though, lol.

Once they are cool enough to eat without burning off your tastebuds.  Enjoy!
